I have frequently traveled in these MAN articulated buses of the WSW during my childhood. The characteristic sounds of the engines of these buses actually evoke nostalgic feelings in me, whether it may sound weird or not. This particular bus was delivered to WSW in the year 2001.
The image of the bus is a cutout from a video that I filmed at the intersection near Steinbeck train station in Wuppertal. Just as a fun fact, “Beck” is a Middle Low German form for “Bach” (stream), so Steinbeck simply means “stone stream” (“Steinbach”). This is the old name of the Hatzenbeck stream, which flows through our garden into the drain.
As you can see in the picture, there are even people inside the bus. Additionally, the “board at front” stickers on the doors have already been attached, which hadn’t been around for very long in 2019.
If you have pictures or videos of interesting means of transportation of all kinds, you can upload them in this section or link a YouTube video! I am always happy when other people share my interests. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
